At Central Coast Nannies, we provide experienced, professional nannies and sitters so your children are safe, happy, and entertained while you enjoy your special event or date-night. The Central Coast Nannies team includes nannies, teachers, daycare providers and college alumni, who are hardworking, compassionate and dedicated.

Our booking fee covers contracts, scheduling, ensuring appropriate child to caregiver ratio, custom placements with caregivers who are a great fit for your family, and more!

    • On-Site vs Off-Site

      • On-Site - Venue, on-site guest house

      • Off-Site - Hotel, Airbnb, VRBO, Residence

    • Coordination Fee

      • $200 per nanny

      • $100 for each additional day

      • $50 for each additional family

    • Hours

      • 3 hour minimum - Rehearsal dinner

      • 6 hour minimum - Wedding & Event day

      • Start and end times must be confirmed in advance to ensure appropriate coverage

    • Nanny Wages

      • Starting at $28-32 per hour

      • $3 more for each additional child

      • Nanny’s will be paid directly at the end of their shift

    • On-Site Meals

      • A vendor meal will be arranged for each nanny

      • We will confirm meal details for the child(ren) in our nanny(s) care

    • Placement Fee

      • Weekend

        • Half Day - $70 per sitter (daily), 3-6 hours

        • Full Day - $100 per sitter (daily), over 6 hours

      • Local Residents / Weekday

        • $55 per sitter (daily)

        • Multiple Dates - discounted rates available

      • Sharing a sitter with another family?

        • $30 for each additional family

      • Starting at $28-32 per hour

      • $3 more for each additional child

      • Sitter(s) will be paid directly at the end of their shift

    • Positions are long-term (1 year minimum)

    Hours & Compensation

    • Guaranteed Hours: 30+ hours per week

    • Hourly Wage: $28-35+ per hour, based on number of children, ages, experience and responsibilities

    • Hourly wages are paid directly to the nanny and are not included in the placement fee

    Benefits Expectations

    • Families are expected to offer, at minimum:

      • 2 weeks paid vacation

      • 1 week paid sick time

      • Paid Holidays

      • Paid Birthday

      • Holiday Bonus

    Payroll & Employment

    • Nannies are paid by their employer and are hired as W-2 employees

    • Payroll may be handled through a service the family already uses or one recommended by Central Coast Nannies

    Screening & Interview Process

    • Every nanny is personally interviewed

    • All childcare references are thoroughly checked

    • Once a candidate meets all required criteria, they are introduced to the family for an in-person interview

    Nanny Qualifications

    • Every candidate must meet the following requirements:

      • 2+ years of professional nanny experience (or equivalent)

      • 3–5 positive childcare references

      • Valid Infant & Child CPR & First-Aid certification

      • Clean driving record

      • Experience with the age group they are applying for

    Placement Timeline

    • The placement process typically takes 4–8 weeks

    • Timelines may vary depending on candidate availability and overall fit for your family

    Placement Fees

    • $500 non-refundable fee to begin your nanny search

    • $3,500 placement fee due upon successful placement and a cleared TrustLine background

    Core Duties Include: creating and maintaining daily routines; engaging children in age-appropriate activities; driving children to and from school, play dates, and extracurricular activities as needed; outings to parks, libraries, museums, or other kid-friendly spaces; preparing and serving healthy meals and snacks; supporting developmental milestones (reading, motor skills, social skills); washing children’s dishes, cleaning up after meal prep, and resetting any kids spaces for that day

    Additional Duties May Include: children’s laundry; rotating the children’s clothes and introducing the next size as needed

    Additional Duties (may) Include: parent & children laundry; washing the children’s bedding; grocery shopping; running errands (dry cleaning, post office, store); taking the family car in for maintenance; manages household schedules, calendars, and appointments; manages house repairs; schedules regular house cleaning; ordering and restocking household supplies; coordinates family travel arrangements; family meal prep; organizing pantrys, fridges and kids closets
