About the Family & Home:
They welcomed their son at the end of June 2026. He will be about 3 ½ months at the start of the position.
The birth of their son follows a late term loss of their daughter, 2 years ago, so their son is the miracle baby they have been waiting for
Both parents work from home, but have separate working spaces
They live off the 41, about 20 minutes from Atascadero
They have a 2 bedroom house on 8 acres, have a fenced in porch that can be used for shaded playtime, stroller walks
The dad has some family nearby
They have 2 dogs: lab and shepherd lab mix. The dogs will be mainly with the parents during the day. No animal care will be needed
Supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment
Compensation & Benefits:
Days: 4-5 days per week (flexible)
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Rate: $28-30 per hour
Guaranteed 32-40 hours per week
2 weeks PTO | 1 week sick | 11 paid holidays
This is a W-2 position
Start Date: Mid-October
Longevity: 1 year, with potential for longer
Duties Include:
Maintaining the daily routine: naps, feeding, diaper changes, active playtime
Light child-related housekeeping: baby dishes, tidying play and meal areas, child laundry
The Ideal Candidate:
Someone who is a career nanny, or has worked in a daycare setting
Someone with at least 5 years of infant experience
Someone who can support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of their son, through each milestone
Background in child development and/or has ECE units (highly preferred)
Positive and proactive individual
Someone who is active: walks, active playtime, curriculum based activities
Experienced with positive reinforcement
Passionate about children, encouraging creativity, and creating a warm and positive atmosphere
Someone who can support their no screen time parenting style
Requirements:
3-5 professional childcare related references
Current Infant and Child CPR & First Aid certification
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Minimum 1-year commitment
Current Tdap vaccination
Clean background check
Clean driving record

About the Family & Home:
Mom is a Civil Engineer and Dad is a Physician
They have 2 kids: 10 year old boy & 7 ½ year old girl
They have been lifelong California residents and have been living in Monterey County since 2017.
They like to cook, walk, hike, spend time by the beach, camp, visit the mountains, play family games, and play musical instruments.
This family currently has an ‘au pair’, but she is leaving soon. They are seeking a nanny who can be available for drop-offs and pickups, then tend to some house manager duties while the kids are in school. The nanny’s summer schedule should remain the same, but duties might change slightly.
Both parents work out of the home on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (the nanny’s work days)
They live on a quiet street, walking distance to a trail park, and a 7 minute drive to the beach.
This family doesn’t have any pets.
Their son has an allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. An epipen will be provided, in case of emergency. He is also allergic to dogs.
Compensation & Benefits:
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Hours: 6:30am - 5:30pm
Rate: $28-35 per hour (depending on experience)
Guaranteed 33 hours per week
2 weeks PTO | 1 week sick | 8 paid holidays
This is a W-2 position
Start Date: ASAP
Longevity: The family is seeking someone who is able to stay with their family long-term. Minimum of 1 year, but ideally 5 years!
Duties Include:
Driving: The family has a 3rd vehicle that the nanny will use for any driving.
Drop-offs and Pick-ups to and from school
Driving the kids to extracurricular activities (sports, dance class, etc)
House Management: Laundry, grocery shopping, dishes, kids bedding, tidying the kids play area and desk as needed, driving kids to doctors appts, occasional farmers market trips for produce, be home with the kids if they are sick, etc.
The Ideal Candidate:
Someone who is kind, reliable, proactive, and organized.
Someone who has nanny experience. Home Management experience is preferred, but not required.
Someone who can have fun with the kids, but can also respect healthy boundaries. Healthy communication is important too.
